A number of UNY 2021 Statistics students won achievements in the 2nd LIKMI #2 (Indonesian Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition) 2023 in the UKI (Beverage Entrepreneurship), UFA (Fashion Business), and UTT (Applied Technology and Technology Design Business) categories. The UFA field was represented by Fahadia Khalda Auliannisa (Statistics 2021) with the title "TTS: Tote bag Tourism Scan" winning 1st place with mentor Mr. Firmansyah, M.Pd. (FIPP). Furthermore, the UKI field was supervised by Mr. Ahmad Chafid Alwi, M.Pd.

Pengembangan statistika merupakan salah satu komponen penting dalam memajukan berbagai bidang keilmuan dan pengambilan keputusan. PKM merupakan salah satu program yang dibuat oleh Direktorat Jenderal Pembelajaran dan Kemahasiswaan, Kementerian Pendidikan, Kebudayaan, Riset, dan Teknologi (Kemendikbudristek).

The development of statistics is an important component in advancing various scientific fields and decision making. The Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology (Ditjen Diktiristek) through the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa) continues to support and encourage innovation among students in the form of the Student Creativity Program (PKM). PKM is one of the programs created by the Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek).

The 2023 National Data Science Tournament (TSDN) is being held again to invite the younger generation to deepen their knowledge of data science and be ready to become agents of change for a better future for Indonesia. This competition is the result of collaboration between Data Academy, LSP DATA, National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP), Satu Jakarta, Jakarta Smartcity, Jabar Digital Service, Open Data Jabar and a number of ministries. The big theme uploaded for the 2023 tournament is "Improving Security Using AI Data Science Knowledge".

SLEMAN - Friday afternoon (2/6) was the culmination of a series of selections for the 2023 DIY 2023 Privileges Male/Female Selection which had just been held for the second time. Taking place at the Shinta Atrium, Sleman City Hall, the event was attended by more than 200 spectators including the general public, in this case mall visitors. This event crowned 20 young people domiciled in Yogyakarta to become ambassadors for culture, tourism, and the privileges of the Special Region of Yogyakarta.

SLEMAN - Jumat sore (2/6) merupakan puncak rangkaian seleksi Pemilihan Putera/i Keistimewaan DIY 2023 yang baru terselenggara untuk kedua kalinya. Berlangsung di Atrium Shinta, Sleman City Hall, acara dihadiri oleh lebih dari 200 penonton termasuk masyarakat umum dalam hal ini para pengunjung mall. Acara ini menobatkan 20 generasi muda berdomisili Yogyakarta untuk menjadi duta budaya, pariwisata, dan keistimewaan Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta. 

Asma’ Khoirunnisa’ (Statistika 2021) memperoleh Juara III pada Pemilihan Mahasiswa Berprestasi (PILMAPRES) FMIPA UNY Tahun 2023 yang diikuti oleh 10 Mahasiswa Terbaik perwakilan tiap program studi yang ada di Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Lebih rincinya, seleksi ini diikuti oleh para mahasiswa dari program studi Statistika S1, Matematika S1, Pendidikan IPA S1, Biologi S1, Kimia S1, dan Pendidikan Fisika S1.

Asma 'Khoirunnisa' (Statistics 2021) won 3rd place in the 2023 FMIPA UNY Achievement Student Selection (PILMAPRES) which was attended by the 10 Best Students representing each study program in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. In more detail, this selection was attended by students from the Bachelor of Statistics, Undergraduate Mathematics, Undergraduate Science Education, Undergraduate Biology, Undergraduate Chemistry, and Undergraduate Physics Education study programs.

Is excessive use of laptops healthy for students? This question may sound rhetorical nowadays where students tend not to be able to leave their laptops, especially for students whose study programs involve a lot of use of computing software such as statistics. It is well known that laptops are exposed to radiation which, if it accumulates, will endanger the health of the user. This is of course contrary to the concept of Society 5.0 because existing technology should not endanger or threaten human productivity and welfare as a society.
