Carrying out Community Service for Five Months, the PPK Ormawa Team BEM FMIPA UNY Successfully Passed Abdidaya Ormawa 2023

SLEMAN (7/12) - The Student Organization Capacity Building Program (PPK Ormawa) BEM FMIPA UNY team has once again passed the community service award as part of the program of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia. This year, the PPKO BEM FMIPA UNY Team managed to beat thousands of teams from all over Indonesia until 160 teams remained who had the right to advance to Abdidaya Ormawa 2023. Previously, BEM FMIPA UNY also qualified for the same program in 2021 and 2022.

It should be noted that PPK Ormawa is a program to strengthen the capacity of ormawa through a series of processes for developing ormawa by universities which are implemented in community service and empowerment programs. After following a series of selections and being declared to have passed the funding, the PPKO BEM FMIPA UNY 2023 Team served for five months in Grogol Village, Kapanewon Paliyan, Gunungkidul. The dedication carries the theme Climate Village with the title "Climate Village Pilot Based on Plantation Plant Development Using Agroforestry Methods in Grogol Village".

The programs carried out during the service were the implementation of agroforestry planting methods, making biopores, optimizing livestock manure through biogas, processing inorganic waste into marketable crafts (Ecobricks), ecoprint batik crafts, and institutional formation of the Climate Village Program (Proklim).

Two 2020 Statistics Study Program students, Erwin Rizki Nur Rofiq and Doni Setyawan were part of the team. Both of them went to the University of Jember to hold an expo and take part in the awarding night for the best teams in each existing category. Hopefully the entire team can carry out activities smoothly and achieve achievements for the good name of Yogyakarta State University, especially the Statistics Study Program, FMIPA UNY.
