Sports Achievements of Maya Novia Puspita, the Student of Statistics Study Program UNY

Maya Novia Puspita is a 2019 Statistics study program student at Yogyakarta State University. She is a student from Bima, West Nusa Tenggara. Even though she comes from an area quite far from Yogyakarta, that doesn't prevent her from excelling in sports. She is known as one of the volleyball athletes in her area. Not only that, at the 2019 Sport and Art (SPARTA) tournament held by students majoring in mathematics education at Yogyakarta State University, she was chosen to represent the 2019 Statistics G class in the women's futsal team. In that activity, she succeeded in bringing her class' name to first place. Apart from that, she was also the Women's Top Scorer because she managed to score the most goals when competing.

At the 2019 FMIPA Yogyakarta State University Sports and Arts Week (Porseni) activities organized by BEM FMIPA, she also represented the mathematics education department in the women's volleyball event. At Porseni in 2019, the mathematics education department managed to get 2nd place. Apart from women's volleyball, Maya also represented the mathematics education department in the women's basketball event in this competition. She and her team succeeded in bringing the name of the mathematics education department to second place in the women's basketball event.

Apart from taking part in several competitions on campus, she also often takes part in volleyball championships held in Yogyakarta and the surrounding area. In November 2019, she took part in the Volleyball championship held by the Hu'u Student Association (IMH) in Yogyakarta. The championship was held specifically for NTB students and students in Yogyakarta, there were 15 women's teams representing their respective regions. Maya is one of the players from the Naganuri team, she and the team succeeded in bringing the Naganuri team to 3rd place in the championship. Not long after participating in the championship, she and other members of the Naganuri team took part in one of the championships in Malang organized by the Dompu Student Harmony Association (IKPMD). This organization held a women's volleyball competition at the Islamic University of Malang for all NTB residents on the island of Java. This championship was attended by 20 teams representing their respective regions and clubs. In this competition, the Asmasi team from Malang won and second place was Naganuri from Yogyakarta.

Maya also took part in an even higher championship, namely the archipelago championship. At the end of 2019, she took part in the championship representing the province of West Nusa Tenggara in the women's volleyball event held by the Bangka-Yogyakarta Student Association (ISBA) at the Bangka men's dormitory in Yogyakarta. This championship was attended by 23 women's teams representing their respective clubs and provinces. This championship is always held every year, in 2019 the championship was won by the hosts, namely the Bangka women's team, 2nd place was the Kalimantan team, and 3rd place was the Taruni NTB team. Maya is one of the core players representing West Nusa Tenggara in the championship. Apart from this championship, in 2020, she represented West Nusa Tenggara in the 2020 Sasando Cup women's volleyball championship held by the NTT student organization for the entire archipelago. This activity was held in early March 2020 at the Bromonilan field in Yogyakarta and was attended by 26 women's teams representing each province. In this activity, NTB province managed to get 2nd place because it was defeated by a team from Kalimantan province.
