The Mathematics Competition and Seminar (Lomba Matematika dan Seminar (LSM)) is an annual activity held by the Mathematics Education Department Student Association (Himpunan Mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Matematika, HIMATIKA) Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY). This year is the implementation of the 31st LSM . As the name implies, LSM is a series of activities consisting of a Mathematics Competition and a Mathematics National Seminar.

Lomba dan Seminar Matematika (LSM) merupakan kegiatan tahunan yang diadakan oleh Himpunan Mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Matematika (HIMATIKA) FMIPA Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Tahun ini merupakan pelaksanaan LSM ke-31. Sesuai dengan namanya, LSM adalah serangkaian kegiatan yang terdiri dari Lomba Matematika dan Seminar Nasional Matematika. Lomba matematika diselenggarakan untuk jenjang SMP, SMA sederajat serta kompetisi Mahasiswa tingkat Nasional.

Mathematics competitions are held for junior high school, high school and equivalent levels as well as student competitions at the national level.

This year's Official Statistics National Seminar will be held on Saturday 17 September 2022 in a series of activities for the STIS Statistics Polytechnic Anniversary and National Statistics Day. The series of activities at the National Official Statistics Seminar began with a call for papers which was open to the public, panel seminars filled with keynote speakers, practitioners or academics of statistics, and parallel seminars filled with presentations by speakers.

On November 20th 2021, Yogyakarta State University (UNY) Statistics Study Program Class of 2018, Adi Setiawan, presented a research article with his team at The International Joint Seminar, The 5th International Seminar on Innovation in Mathematics and Mathematics Education and The 7th International Seminar on Science Education organized by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta. Their article is entitled "Multilevel Logistics Regression Analysis on Determinants of Adult Stroke Incidence in Indonesia".

The International Conference on Data Science and Official Statistics (ICDSOS) is an international conference held by the STIS, Statistics Polytechnic. This conference is the first conference and submitted articles will enter proceedings or journals. In 2021, this conference carries the theme "Strengthening the Contribution of Data Science and Official Statistics to the Society in the Disruption Era".
