Visiting Professor Session 2 on Tuesday, 14 May 2024 began with providing information about the National Internship Pilot Program at NDHU by Prof. Woo. Then the professor continued with the presentation of material about the Monte Carlo integration method. This method is often used to calculate integral values, especially when the integral involves many dimensions and has complex conditions and limitations. The second material is how to choose the best estimator based on the bias and variance values. Finally, Prof. Wu explained several sampling methods, namely the inverse method and rejection method.
