The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are sustainable development efforts which are used as the main reference in the development framework and negotiations of countries in the world as a replacement for the global development Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) which ended in 2015.

The Data Science Study Program together with the Data Science Student Association (HMSD) of the Telkom Purwokerto Institute of Technology (ITTP) through the GRAPHICS Contest (Infographic Statistics Competition), are trying to contribute to achieving these goals (SDGs). The Statistics Infographic Competition is one of a series of events for the 3rd Anniversary of the Data Science Study Program at the Telkom Institute of Technology, Purwokerto, Central Java. The purpose of the competition is as a means for Indonesian students to improve their ability to present statistical data according to cases raised based on topics in attractive poster designs. The results of the work are sent online in accordance with the attached competition conditions. The theme raised in this infographic competition is “Data Utilization in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals Indicators”. The organizers hope that through the Infographic competition, it can provide an overview regarding the condition of the SDGs in Indonesia.

In the GRAPHICS 1.0 competition this time, 60 teams registered and took part. Furthermore, it is selected based on an assessment so that it leaves the 10 best works to enter the final round on January 14 2023. The representative from UNY is “Lorem Ipsum” which consists of Muhammad Goldy Wahyu Haryadi (student of the Statistics Study Program 2021) as the team leader , Asma' Khoirunnisa' (student of the Statistics Study Program 2021), and Firdaus Amruzain Satiranandi Wibowo (student of the Statistics Study Program 2021) as team members. The Lorem Ipsum team succeeded in becoming a finalist in this prestigious infographic competition. The infographic title presented in the final round was "Indonesian Fishery Commodities in the Challenge of Food Security".
