Asma' Khoirunnisa', a Statistics student at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY), has succeeded in becoming the 1st Rank Outstanding Student in the Undergraduate Program at UNY in 2024. This achievement was achieved after winning over six competitors from various faculties in the Student Achievement Election (Pilmapres) university level. As the First Outstanding Student in the Undergraduate Program at UNY, Asma' will represent the university in the 2024 LLDIKTI V Regional Presidential Election.

The presidential election selection process at UNY involves several stages, including personality tests, interviews, creative ideas, English speeches, achievement portfolios or superior achievements (CU). The selection was carried out in a hybrid manner on 20 – 26 March 2024. Even though the selection process was carried out during the month of Ramadan, this did not erode the enthusiasm of Asma' and the other undergraduate program finalists in preparation for the final selection process at the university stage.

In the interview, Asma' expressed her gratitude for this achievement and admitted that she was happy to be able to meet, exchange opinions and compete with the best representatives from various faculties at Yogyakarta State University. She also appreciated the support he received from her supervisors, Statistics Coordinator, Dean & Deputy Dean of FMIPA, Student Affairs, UNY. "My parents, my family at home and my comrades also supported me," she added. According to Asma', this achievement is certainly the result of their prayers, guidance and support.

The selection preparation process was not instant and easy for Asma'. To prepare herself, she trained herself to actively participate in various competitions, conduct research and publish works, and have an impact on local communities through research products and community service in remote areas. Often have to multitask with various other obligations as well. Even though there are certainly challenges in the process, the journey of self-development feels enjoyable along with input, assistance and guidance from UNY lecturers, colleagues and family at home.

Through the University stage Pilmapres event, Asma' has proven her dedication to developing herself and her contributions both from an academic and non-academic perspective. As the 1st Rank Outstanding Student in the UNY Undergraduate Program, this certainly conveys a moral message for her to be a role model for her colleagues and become an inseparable part of the university's success journey. Hopefully, her unyielding spirit and sincerity in fighting will inspire many people around her.
