Statistics Study Program students of Yogyakarta State University have once again achieved brilliant achievements in a national competition. The UNY team consists of 3 students, namely Hajran Azbytama Winarya, Biliarto Sastro Cemerson, and Muhammad Goldy Wahyu Haryadi who are guided by Mr. Thesa Adi Saputra Yusri, S.Si., M.Cs. With high fighting spirit and extraordinary dedication, they have succeeded in bringing the good name of their alma mater to a wider arena with their achievements in qualifying as finalists for Statistika Ria and Festival Sains Data (Satria Data) 2024 in the Big Data Challenge field. The 2024 Satria Data Final will be held on Tuesday to Thursday, July 30 to August 1, 2024 at Telkom University.

Satria Data is a competition that measures students' abilities in the fields of Statistics, Data Science, and their applications. Not only hard skills in the fields of Statistics and Data Science will be competed, but also soft skills such as communication, visualization, collaboration, and creativity in solving complex problems. There are 4 (four) types of competitions, namely:

National Statistics Competition (NSC)
Statistics Essay Competition (SEC)
Statistics Infographic Competition (SIC)
Big Data Challenge (BDC)

To advance to the national stage as a finalist, this team has gone through two selection processes, namely the preliminary round and the semifinals.
