Field Assessment of Statistics Study Program UNY

On September 8th, 2020, based on the decision letter of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) Number 5167/SK/BAN-PT/Ak-PKP/S/IX/2020, the Bachelor of Statistics Study Program UNY has obtained temporary accreditation status. but still have to undergo a field assessment to obtain an accreditation certificate which will be valid for 5 years.

Furthermore, based on the meeting decision of the Executive Board of the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) Number 1417/BAN-PT/SPT-AK/P/2021 regarding adequacy results, the Bachelor of Statistics Study Program UNY was declared to have passed the field assessment stage. On Wednesday-Thursday, 21-22 April 2021, the BAN-PT assessor, Dr. Arisman Adnan, M.Sc. from Riau University and Dr. Yusep Suparman, M.Sc. from Padjadjaran University has carried out an online field assessment at the Statistics Study Program UNY. The series of events on the first day were opened with a prayer, singing the Indonesia Raya song, remarks by the Chancellor of UNY, Prof. Dr. Sumaryanto, M.Kes., AIFO, and remarks by the assessors of BAN-PT. The event continued with a discussion session with the Study Program Management Unit, namely the leadership of FMIPA UNY, the Self Evaluation Report Team (LED), the Study Program Performance Report Team (LKPS), and the Quality Assurance Unit. In the afternoon, discussions were also held with the government, which in this case was represented by Mr. Ir. Suparna, M.Sc. from BPS DIY Province and Mrs. Lestari Indriani, M.Ec.Dev from BPS Kota Magelang, the parents of the students represented by Mr. Aam Abraham Siang, S.Si. and Mr. Drs. Jaelani Yusuf, and private institutions represented by Mrs. Istiqomah, M.Sc., FSAI from PT Prudential Life Assurance and Mrs. Rumtini, S.Si from Data Solutions Jogja.

The activities on the second day began with a discussion session with representatives of the 2018, 2019, and 2020 Batch of 2018, 2019, and 2020 UNY Statistics Study Program students, then continued with a discussion session with UNY Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Education Staff, a discussion session with UNY Statistics Study Program lecturers, and closing. In the closing session, the assessors provided recommendations for field assessments of the Bachelor of Statistics Study Program UNY. These recommendations are very useful for improving and enhancing the performance of the Bachelor of Statistics Study Program UNY.
