The Statistics Study Program FMIPA UNY has held Practitioner Lectures in the field of Data Mining and Databases. This practitioner lecture presented Deni Prasetya Dewantara S.Kom. and Dian Anggriawan Hidayat as resource persons. Deni Prasetya Dewantara is a practitioner in the field of data mining and is currently working as a software engineer at Widya Analytic, while Dian Anggriawan Hidayat is a consultant working at CV Three Connections. This practitioner lecture was successfully held on December 4th, 2021 at 08.00-12.00 WIB.

The Statistics Study Program UNY held a Mathematical Economics Practitioner Lecture by presenting Mrs. Jamila Lestyowati, S.E., M.Si as a guest speaker. He is a Lecturer at the Yogyakarta Financial Training Center, Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia. The Economics Mathematics course is one of the elective courses in the field of interest in Actuarial Science. In the odd semester of 2021/2022, Mrs. Rosita Kusumawati, M.Sc. taught the Mathematics of Economics course at the Statistics Study Program, UNY and Mr. Bayutama Isnaini, M.Sc.

On October 7th and 14th, 2021, the Statistics Study Program, Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta held guest lectures (practitioners) for the Econometrics course. The Econometrics guest lecture this time was given by Mrs. Reninta Dewi Nugraheni, M.Sc, who is the First Researcher, Center for Economic Research, Indonesian Institute of Sciences (now the National Research and Innovation Agency, BRIN).

The Statistics Study Program UNY held a Practitioner Lecture program by presenting Mrs. Istiqomah, S.Sc., M.Sc., FSAI. She is Actuarial Pricing Manager - PT Prudential Life Assurance. The Life Insurance Practitioner Lecture for Statistics Study Program students will take place online on 1 and 29 May 2021. At the first meeting, the basic concepts in the process of determining the premium price (pricing) of a Term Life Insurance product along with examples were discussed in detail.

On Tuesday, March 9, 2021, the Statistics Study Program FMIPA UNY held a Practitioner Lecture program by inviting Ir. Suparna, M.Sc. from the Yogyakarta Special Province Central Statistics Agency (BPS DIY). He is an intermediate expert statistician from BPS DIY Province.

On Thursday 5 November 2020, the Statistics Study Program FMIPA UNY held an Inbound Visiting Professor program by presenting Dr. Shazlyn Milleana Shaharudin from the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Science and Mathematics, Sultan Idris Education University. His area of expertise is statistics, while his research area includes multivariate analysis and big data in the field of hydrology.
