LOMBA DAN SEMINAR MATEMATIKA

Matematika bukan sekedar menghafal rumus melainkan pemahaman bahasa yang memungkinkan orang untuk mengkomunikasikan ide-ide dalam angka. Anda mungkin dapat melakukan perhitungan tetapi jika tidak mengerti bahasanya anda akan mengalami kesulitan saat berkomunikasi secara matematis. Sebagian besar aplikasi matematika mengharuskan anda tidak hanya melakukan secara matematis, melainkan mengkomunikasikan matematika.

PRINCE OF SONGKLA UNIVERSITY THAILAND TAWARKAN BEASISWA KE FMIPA UNY

Prince of Songkla University, Thailand melakukan presentasi tentang studi  dan informasi program beasiswa serta pendaftaran on site di FMIPA UNY, Rabu (30/9/2015). Rombongan yang dipimpin oleh Prof. Dr. Wilaiwan Chotigeat, Dean Faculty of Science dan Prof. Dr.  Anchana Prathep, Assistant Dean of Graduate Studies diterima oleh Dekan FMIPA, Dr. Hartono di Ruang Sidang Fakultas. Presentasi diikuti oleh dosen dan mahasiswa  dari berbagai prodi.

Mathematics is a good subject that is beautiful and educational because for learning to think, mathematics is a kind of very powerful language. From a young age, children are familiar with mathematics. Mathematics is not just numbers, symbols, not just memorization, but meaningful mathematics.

Manipulative materials for the Bridge to the Abstract Stage

Manipulative materials are seen to be used to assist understanding and learning. The most difficult thing to teach is giving reasons why mathematics is rational. For example, if a number is divided, the result becomes bigger, such as if the number 4 is divided by ½, the result is 8. This makes mathematics learning seem difficult. To show this, it is easier to teach with Manipulative material.

STKIP Bengkulu Learned Lab Management from FMIPA UNY

STKIP Bengkulu Mathematics Education students make a comparative study to FMIPA UNY. The group was welcomed by the Head of the Mathematics Education Department, Dr. Sugiman, Coordinator of the Mathematics Education study program, Dr. Ali Mahmudi, lecturer/manager of the Mathematics Laboratory, Nurhadi, M.Hum., and FMIPA public relations officer, Witono N, SIP., recently in the faculty meeting room.

Field Lecture of Jember University in the Mathematics Education Department, FMIPA UNY

A total of 74 students and 5 lecturers from the Department of Mathematics Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Jember University conducted field lectures at FMIPA UNY, Tuesday (28/5). The group was welcomed by Deputy Dean I Dr. Suyanta, Head of the Mathematics Education Department, Dr. Sugiman, Coordinator of the Mathematics Education Study Program, Dr. Ali Mahmudi, and Bambang Sumarno, M.Kom.

SKILLED IN NUMERATION IS NOT NECESSARILY SKILLED IN MATHEMATICS

In learning, students in schools and colleges are skilled at arithmetic but not necessarily skilled at mathematics. This is because mathematics involves the ability to make analogies, the ability to interpret, conclude, and generalize.
