PKM-AI is a student creativity program in the form of scientific articles resulting from student academic activities. This program is organized by the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology. PKM-AI participants are a group of students who are active and registered for undergraduate or diploma education programs. PKM-AI aims to give students experience in producing scientific writing. Unlike PKM in other fields, PKM-AI does not end at PIMNAS. Scientific articles from this PKM will be published in e-journals. Student groups with scientific articles that are considered good and worthy of publication will receive financial incentives.

A group of Statistics Study Program students supervised by Mr. Ezra Putranda Setiawan, S.Sc., M.Sc with the title PKM "IDENTIFICATION OF FACTORS DETERMINING PROVINCIAL INCOME INEQUALITY IN INDONESIA" succeeded in obtaining a financial incentive. The PKM group consists of Irena Sekar Dwi Hasnida (Student of Statistics Study Program 2018) and three other members namely Evi Fauziyari (Student of Statistics Study Program 2018), Binti Luthfiyaturrohmah AJ (Student of Statistics Study Program 2018), and Nadjma Maulidya Advani (Student of Statistics Study Program 2020).

The selection process begins with sending a research proposal through the UNY PKM Center website https://srgate.kemahasiswaan.uny.ac.id/ for internal selection. After being declared accepted by the internal selection, the proposal is then sent to the simbelmawa website to then be selected and declared to have passed the incentive on June 30th, 2021.
