Digging Information from Spatial Data
Spatial Statistics is one of the elective courses in the field of Biostatistics held by the UNY Statistics Undergraduate Study Program. In the even semester of 2021, five students from batch 2018 will take part in this course. Under the guidance of Mrs. Kismiantini, Ph.D. and Mr. Ezra Putranda Setiawan, M.Sc., students not only studied various spatial statistical theories but also applied these methods in solving problems. The ability of these students is shown in the preparation of scientific articles by utilizing secondary data in various fields.
On Saturday, 28 August 2021, these articles were presented by students in the National Seminar on Mathematics, Statistics, & Its Applications (SNMSA) with the theme "Mathematics and Statistics for Supporting Research in the New Normal Era". SNMSA 2021 is held online by the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Mulawarman University. In full, the articles are entitled:
1. Analysis of Factors Influencing the Number of Tuberculosis Patients Using Geographically Weighted Regression in East Java Province (presented by Angeliya Milla Khariyani)
2. Identification of Factors Influencing Human Development Index (HDI) in West Kalimantan in 2020 Using Geographically Weighted Regression (presented by Andriati Langiran)
3. Modeling the Prevalence of Malnutrition in Toddlers in Central Kalimantan Using Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) (presented by Ryan Sidiq Permana)
4. Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) Modeling on Total Rice Production (Case Study: Rice Production Data by District/City in East Java Province in 2020) (presented by Hafizh Nur Ihsan)
5. Modeling Malnutrition in Toddlers in East Java Province Using Geographically Weighted Regression (GWR) (presented by Qatrunnada Azkia)
