SLEMAN - Friday afternoon (2/6) was the culmination of a series of selections for the 2023 DIY 2023 Privileges Male/Female Selection which had just been held for the second time. Taking place at the Shinta Atrium, Sleman City Hall, the event was attended by more than 200 spectators including the general public, in this case mall visitors. This event crowned 20 young people domiciled in Yogyakarta to become ambassadors for culture, tourism, and the privileges of the Special Region of Yogyakarta.

After going through various stages such as written tests, interviews, and talent shows, Erwin Rizki Nur Rofiq (Statistika 2020) came out as The Winner/1st Place for Male Specialties DIY 2023. The same award was also won by Chatarina Lidya Manafe (PGSD 2021) as The Winner/ 1st Place for Female Specialties DIY 2023. Both are active students at Yogyakarta State University.

Before the grand final took place, the twenty finalists had been briefed on soft skills and field program activities regarding privileges. Furthermore, Erwin and Rina (her nickname) will collaborate with other finalists as well as in the special privilege ambassador communication forum throughout DIY to become pioneers in preserving culture, tourism, and maintaining the privileges of the Special Region of Yogyakarta.
