Coordinating the Preparation for the Visiting Professor of Statistics UNY 2021

In the era of globalization, international cooperation is one of the efforts that can be made by universities to improve the quality of the Tridharma of Higher Education. Tuesday (29/6/2021), the FMIPA UNY Statistics Study Program coordinated the preparation of the Visiting Professor by inviting Dr. Riswan Efendi from the Department of Mathematics, Sultan Idris University of Education, Malaysia.

This coordination activity was opened by Mrs. Kismiantini, Ph.D. as the Coordinator of the Bachelor of Statistics Study Program and attended by students of the Statistics Study Program class of 2020. Prof. Dr. Dhoriva Urwatul Wutsqa, M.S. as the coordinator of the Time Series Analysis course and Mr. Ezra Putranda Setiawan, M.Sc. as a member of the support team. As planned, Dr. Riswan Efendi will teach the Time Series Analysis course for two months in the odd semester of 2021/2022.

In his briefing, Dr. Riswan Efendi conveyed the importance of learning Statistics by using primary data. In addition, students must also understand the process of collecting data which is often not easy. These two things will be applied in learning Time Series Analysis. We all hope that this activity can be carried out smoothly and give encouraging results.
