STATement January 2023

The Yogyakarta State University Statistics Study Program held a STATement activity on Wednesday, January 11 2023 in a virtual meeting. This STATement event has been held for the third time, and is held every break between semesters. This STATement activity aims to provide information to all UNY Statistics students regarding Independent Learning-Free Campus (MBKM), preparation for lectures for the even semester of the 2022/2023 Academic Year, as well as information regarding Field Work Practices (PKL) and Final Thesis Assignments (TAS). The students who attended this event were UNY Statistics students Class 2018 to Class 2022.

Some information at the January 2022 STATement event was delivered directly by Mrs. Kismiantini, Ph.D. as UNY Statistics Coordinator. This activity was also attended by Mrs. Rosita Kusumawati, M.Sc. as Head of the Statistics Laboratory, Mr. Ezra Putranda Setiawan, M.Sc. as a representative of Quality Assurance. Then, the moderator for this STATement was Mr. Bayutama Isnaini, M.Si and also present was Mrs. Indira Ihnu Brilliant, M.Stat.

Initial information provided by Mrs. Kismiantini, Ph.D regarding MBKM. He conveyed several programs launched by the Ministry of Education and Culture. One of the programs currently being opened is MSIB (Certified Independent Study and Internship) with the requirement that D4 and S1 students be at least 5 semesters. Next, Mrs. Kismiantini, Ph.D delivered lecture preparations for the even semester of FY 2022/2023 for each class, starting from UNY Statistics students class 2018 to class 2022. After delivering lecture preparations, she delivered additional information regarding PKL and TAS, especially for students from the classes of 2018, 2019 and 2020. He gave a message to students to continue to be enthusiastic in completing their studies, especially in completing the PKL and TAS reports which are mandatory requirements for graduation. He also emphasized to students that when compiling PKL or TAS reports, follow the guidelines for preparing PKL reports (http://fmipa.uny.ac.id/pedoman-pkl) or TAS (http://fmipa.uny.ac.id/pedoman -tas) that already exist, as well as taking references from primary and trusted sources, of course not forgetting to include these references, so that a written work is produced that is relevant and not too biased or subjective.

At the end of this activity, Mrs. Rosita Kusumawati, M.Sc. provided additional information regarding the use of the Statistics Laboratory and Mr. Ezra Putranda Setiawan, M.Sc. provide additional information regarding the Learning Monitoring and Evaluation Survey which is an official route to guarantee the quality of learning, both at the beginning and at the end of lectures, where any information submitted through monitoring and evaluation  will be processed by the Quality Assurance group to be submitted to the study program manager or relevant lecturer.
