Proud Achievement of the Statistics Study Program UNY, Get Funds for the Student Creativity Program in 8 Fields

The development of statistics is an important component in advancing various scientific fields and decision making. The Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology (Ditjen Diktiristek) through the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs (Belmawa) continues to support and encourage innovation among students in the form of the Student Creativity Program (PKM). PKM is one of the programs created by the Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). PKM aims to train student creativity and innovation in order to solve problems in various fields of life, both at the local and national levels.

In the PKM 8 Fields category, proposals that pass the passing grade will be funded by Belmawa. The competition is very tight, with many brilliant ideas submitted by students from various universities in Indonesia. Proud news came from a student of the Statistics Study Program at FMIPA UNY. In the letter numbered: 2383/E2/DT.01.00/2023 there were 4 (four) students of the Statistics Study Program UNY who get or passed funding, including: Asma' Khoirunnisa' and Firdaus Amruzain Satiranandi Wibowo (Statistics 2021) with the title "Optimization of Radiation Reduction on Laptop Shield from Sansevieria trifasciata Laurentii and Abu Sekam Padi using Response Surface Methodology" under the guidance of Mr. Wipsar Sunu Brams Dwandaru, S.Si., M .Sc., Ph.D. Next are Muhammad Akhdaan Al Ghozi and Muhammad Nashiruddin Al Bani (Statistics 2021) with the title "Implementation of the Trash Ecobrick Program in Kledokan Village as an Effort to Increase Environmental Awareness and Public Health" under the guidance of Mr. Ngadiyono, S.Pd., M.Pd.

The success of the Statistics Study Program students in obtaining this funding is clear evidence that the contribution and collaboration of statistics has a very important role in solving various complex problems in society. Appropriate and innovative use of statistics can yield valuable information that helps better decision-making in a variety of fields, including agriculture, transportation, economics, health, and others. With full support from the government and educational institutions, it is hoped that more students from various study programs can produce innovative projects that are beneficial to society and can compete in the PKM 8 Fields competition. Let's continue to encourage and support students to contribute to the development of statistics and science as a whole, for a better future.
