STATement January 2023

The Statistics Study Program of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta held a STATement activity on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 by virtual meeting. This STATement event has been held for the third time, and is held in every break between semesters. This STATement activity aims to provide information to all UNY Statistics students regarding Merdeka Belajar-Kampus Merdeka (MBKM), preparation for even semester classes for the 2022/2023 academic year, as well as information related to Internship (PKL) and Undergraduate Thesis (TAS). Students who attended this event were UNY Statistics students from Class of 2018 to Class of 2022. 

Some information at the January 2022 STATement event was delivered directly by Mrs. Kismiantini, Ph.D. as Coordinator of Statistics UNY. This activity was also attended by Mrs. Rosita Kusumawati, M.Sc. as the Head of the Statistics Laboratory, Mr. Ezra Putranda Setiawan, M.Sc. as a representative of Quality Assurance. Then, the moderator at this STATement was Mr. Bayutama Isnaini, M.Si and also attended by Mrs. Indira Ihnu Brilliant, M.Stat. 
The initial information presented by Mrs. Kismiantini, Ph.D regarding MBKM. He conveyed about several programs launched by the Ministry of Education and Culture. One of the programs that is currently open is MSIB (Internship and Certified Independent Study) with the requirements of D4 and S1 students at least in semester 5. Furthermore, Mrs. Kismiantini, Ph.D conveyed the preparation of even semester lectures for the 2022/2023 academic year for each batch, starting from the 2018 batch of UNY Statistics students to the 2022 batch. After delivering lecture preparations, she conveyed additional information about PKL and TAS, especially for students in 2018, 2019, and 2020. He gave a message to students to continue to be enthusiastic in completing their studies, especially in completing PKL and TAS reports which are mandatory requirements for graduation. She also emphasized to students that in preparing PKL or TAS reports, they should follow the guidelines for preparing PKL report (http://fmipa.uny.ac.id/pedoman-pkl) or TAS (http://fmipa.uny.ac.id/pedoman-tas) that already exist, and take references from primary and trusted sources, of course not forgetting to include these references, so that a relevant paper is produced and not too biased or subjective. 

At the end of this activity, Mrs. Rosita Kusumawati, M.Sc. provided additional information regarding the use of the Statistics Laboratory and Mr. Ezra Putranda Setiawan, M.Sc. provided additional information regarding the Learning Monev Survey which is an official channel to ensure the quality of learning, both at the beginning and at the end of the lecture, where any information submitted through monev will be processed by the Quality Assurance cluster to be submitted to the study program manager or related lecturers.
